My Name is Kathy Gelein and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I am really NOT the marriage mender! The truth is YOU are your own marriage mender. Let’s face it marriage is sometimes difficult. There will be times in your marriage when you feel angry, hurt and frustrated with your spouse. Over time if these feelings are not appropriately expressed resentments begin to build up. These resentments and frustrations may seem insurmountable and communication with your spouse begins to breaks down. Perhaps you begin to view your spouse in a very negative fashion. That closeness and intimacy you once shared is just a faded memory and maybe the idea of divorce seems like a real option.
Divorce is not really an easy way out of a difficult marital situation. If you have children it can get very complicated and the children’s lives will be affected. It is often very stressful and confusing for children of any age when their parents get a divorce. Obviously divorce is a choice but there are others. One choice is marriage counseling with an experienced therapist. I have over 12 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist and I have been married to my honey for 22 years.

Other Ways I Can Help... I have assisted individuals, couples and families gain insight, awareness and a deep understanding of themselves and how they relate to others. I am committed to working with clients to become the best they can be. It is my goal to facilitate growth, change, health, hope and healing for you and your relationships. I have extensive training in the area of sexual behavior problems and sexual addictions. I have worked successfully with victims of trauma and abuse and can aid in overcoming the wounds associated with these issues. I am level 2 trained in EMDR, a proven method in traumatic stress reduction. Additionally, I am experienced in the areas of anxiety, depression, anger management and ADHD. I look forward to combining our efforts so that you may lead a more fulfilling and satisfying life.
